Pros and cons of Traffic Canada app for iPhone and iPad

Traffic Canada app good for

Works in Oakville, ON. Is exactly what I wanted. Before I had a couple MTO maps bookmarked in Safari, but always found myself needing to look up new ones depending on where I was going. So far, this has worked perfectly. Update: been using this for months now. It is a huge assistance and very reliable. Newest update awesome! Keep up the good work.
finally the update we have been waiting for has arrived. map view now allows scrolling and zooming with familiar pinchand swipe gestures. only suggestion would be to improve map interface. is smoother scrolling of map and auto to camera when pin selected.
Very useful (...and a little bit voyeuristic.) Works as described (for Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec at least. Ive not tried it elsewhere).
Great function, usability and coverage. Comments on individual cameras are unfair as these are beyond control of developers. Great way to get multi city traffic in one bundle. No complaints. Keep the cameras coming.
This is a FANTASTIC app, and is one of main apps I show others when showing off my iPhone. I live in North Vancouver, BC, and it makes my life so much easier to be able to plan my routes through Metro Vancouver wherever I may be. Adding a search function would be nice, but not crucial. That said, the technical support from the company is great --- when I report a traffic camera is "down" (probably due to a URL change), they fix the issue within a few hours and email me confirmation. How often do you get service like that these days?
I use this at home before leaving to check on the traffic. Would be a very helpful feature to know which way the camera is pointed - with perhaps an eye/camera symbol on the map pointing in the camera sight direction, or just a compass direction included in the cam list description. I wonder, though, if this information is available from the cameras, or if there needs to be a way for users to submit this information that can then be incorporated into upgrades...

Some bad moments

No camera for pattalo bridge cant believe this pattalo is crossed by thousonds every day n I take pattalo every Morning to work so I was very disappointed with this app
I wish traffic report to be added as the US traffic. Let me know
Edmontons a pretty major city and the capital of Alberta. I figure since Calgarys up there, we should be too. Hopefully this is included in the next update. Works great though.
Unfortunately, there are no camera feeds on the Quebec side. So this app is not usefull at all in the province of Quebec. But even worse, there are no camera feeds showing the 5 majors bridges that connect Ottawa to Gatineau/Hull. Being that taking the right bridge at the right moment is key to avoiding 45 minute commutes, and that this app doesnt inform me of what is happening on the major traffic chokepoints, I dont see when Ill be using this app anytime soon.
This would get a solid 4 stars if it didnt have a couple annoying bugs 1: when viewing a traffic cam touching at to favs needs to be pressed many times before it actually adds it 2: cannot acces the cam from map view tried a tap on the pin and double tap no go Works great in list mode though Now if the above mentioned bugs get fixed I would give this 4 stars if it also knew where the photo radar and speed on green cameras were (Im in Calgary) then this app would be 7 stars IMO
We need to be able to sort the list view alphabetically. And we need to just tap on a map pin to see the cam, not click another button after that to see it. And the map magnification should be more local to your location, not show a map of the whole region the size of a dime. That takes too much tapping til you can differentiate the pins, and takes too much time and attention while driving.
